Spring Training

Our indoor training sessions at One Last Rep Sports Training have started, they take place every Sunday evening from 8-9 pm. You can find the sessions on the Schedule & Events page.

⚾️

Come and work on your skills, socialise and make connections. Not sure what to expect? Here’s an overview. When we first arrive, we spend a good chunk of time warming up and chatting before we get into baseball reps. Warmups are an integral part of baseball that can enhance your performance and help you avoid injuries. I don’t recommend jumping right into playing catch without warming up. If you’re a newbie and want help learning a proper warm-up, ask me or another veteran! Once you’re warm and stretched, it’s time to get to work! (We wrap up by putting all the balls away and leaving the turf by 8:55 pm)

There are 3 batting cages, including

-self-pitch cage (we pitch/soft toss to each other)

-tee work cage, with multiple tees

-automatic pitching machine*

The facility also has a pitching tunnel cage with 2 portable mounds & targets where pitchers and catchers can hone their craft!

Finally, there’s a general fielding cage, used for warmups and playing catch. We sometimes use this cage for infielding drills, and other times we do live batting practice with a live pitcher on a mound. It depends on how many people are there and what everyone wants to do.

*We recommend using one of our league’s BBCOR bats for the pitching machine… nothing worse than breaking a wood bat during training. Bring your own helmet, glove and water.

⚾️

Reserve your spot by sending an e-transfer for $10 per session to Jen Donaldson at nsmonarchs.women@gmail.com with the dates you’re registering for in the message. Sessions are filling up quickly, so decide quickly! No refunds/transfers to another date unless spaces are full and your spot can be filled.

⚾️

All 18+ female players are welcome, including returning players, spares and those who are interested in trying it out and possibly being drafted in 2026. These sessions are a great way to introduce yourself and see if you’re a good fit. No previous baseball experience required! Softball players will find the transition easy!

⚾️

Sessions are not mandatory! You can come to as many or as few as you want (space permitting). There will be other opportunities to train indoors, so watch the group for more events at other venues.

⚾️
